The sun shone yesterday at Botanic Gardens when the Beat Initiative held an event “Life is a carnival” to showcase their abilities along with a specially commissioned aerial spectacular. With sporadic violence reported in Ardoyne tonight, here’s an account of last night’s violence in Belfast during which 22 police officers were injured, an ambulance and a fire engine attacked, and a bus hijacked and driven at police lines. Cluan Place/ Junction of Albertbridge Rd. The tarmac has been protected by a layer of sand. It hadn’t been repaired since last years bonefire. 3 days on from my last visit…… Donegal Pass which has no tyres or flags on it (at lunchtime) and also has a beacon.
