Tell me more about swift’s inspiration, please

    Magnus

It is said that Napoleon’s Nose on the Cavehill inspired Swift when writing Gulliver’s Travel. This is, however, disputable.

Quite simple really Magnus. Look at Napolean’s Nose on the Cave Hill in the background. THAT is Swift’s inspiration.

Magnus, Napolean’s Nose is the cliff face part which is about a inch and a half from the left of the picture and an inch and a half from the top of the picture. Hope that helps you.

“Measure twice, cut once” is the old saw. Thanks KM for the additional help. I think you mean 11/2 in and 1 down. You don’t work in Michelle Gildernew’s department do you?
