“Drowning in the last hours of the day…”

Somewhat belatedly, here’s the annual excellent Bloomsday video.  It’s tradition

Those of a sensitive disposition are duly warned, again, that James Joyce enjoys the language in all its fecund nuttiness. Enjoy!

It’s a few years old now but still pretty funny.

At this time it’s traditional to rerun my DVD ‘Bloom’ with Stephen Rea as Leopold Bloom , Angeline Ball as Molly and Hugh O’Connor as Daedalus .Recognisable locations for Dubliners include Davy Byrne’s pub, Glasnevin Cemetery, James Joyce Tower and Museum , Sandymount Strand National Library of Ireland. A bit hard to take in parts for those as Pete notes above of a sensitive disposition .

  • An annual Thank You, Pete. I never tire of watching it.

  • Starting a couple of days ago, our best know theatre, in Stratford Ontario, will be presenting “Waiting for Godot” for a few months. I’ll be there; I haven’t heard of it being presented anywhere in Canada in my 32 years here.

I just love the lateness of that last line….
