Sure it’s the summer. It’ll be easy cleared before tonight.

    Shame on those responsible.

  • pippakin,

The shame lies in the fact that some people just never feel shame. Sure it’s only a bit of craic!

  • Pond life.

MP, I have to say that your recent photos have been right on the button. From the graffiti that was on the Pub that was seized by criminal assets to the re-painting of the murals.

You were documenting and highlighting the increased disaffection within loyalism in East Belfast recently while many of the unionist posters on this site were criticizing you for it.
    Fair play.

  • wee buns

To echo the compliment, MP certainly has an ear to the ground.
It’s awful to see it return. In particular the elderly residents really suffer and my granny who is no longer alive, she would have been in pieces this morning. Such a pity that forsaken loyalism takes this path of misplaced raged.

  • An utter disgrace. Great photo MP.

  • Nunoftheabove

    Yes nice snappin’ Mooch.

I can’t have been the only one that’s noticed how Ship of Dreams is anagrammatic of apish serfdom, can I ?

  • qwerty12345

After the last few nights perhaps the mural should be changed to read “Ship of fools”

  • I think I can safely predict further communal ‘encounters’ – as the ground continues to narrow. I suspect that the devolution of policing and justice won’t have made a hapenth of difference. Has the Minister of Justice appeared on the front-line or has the OFMDFM been left to grasp the nettle?

  • andnowwhat

Very good photo Moochin. I like the composition.

  • tacapall

Great photo MP ironic the broken heart bit.

Nevin have no illusions this is anything about history repeating itself, this is all about the HET investigations of the UVF and their connections to RUC Special branch/British Intelligence. It suits quite a few people that these investigations are stopped in their tracks otherwise that defination of collusion that is protecting those members of the security forces that controlled these people wil lundoubtedly have to be reassessed. There is obviously behind the scenes talks going on with the leadership of the UVF and the outcome will surely be seen in the coming weeks.

  • Billy Pilgrim

This is, or at least ought to be political unionism’s Massareene moment.

Will Peter Robinson meet the standard set by Martin McGuinness, and name the UVF in East Belfast for what they are: traitors to Ulster?

    One can only hope.

  • Greenflag

Poignant . No living human being in sight and yet they can be seen in the minds eye and even heard . Great pic -one for a collection .

  • pmac

Cracking photo that MP. Well spotted.
