Labour PPC sacked over Rangers lyrics and uncontrolled Twittering…

Hmmm…Guido has news of a prospective Labour candidate who seems to have lost the run of himself with his Twitter account… As I nearly said on Evening Extra the other day, Twitter strikes me as being more of a journalists tool than a politicians… Good if you know how to handle it… Not, if you don’t…

As David Cameron said, ‘too many tweets make a twat’

  • joeCanuck

I’ve wondered what someone who uses twitter might be called – a twit perhaps.

  • Panic, these ones like it up em.

All political careers end in failure.

the guy only got sacked after it was known he was going to resign.

Just shows how labour are scraping the bottom of the barrel for ppc’s. Here is the words to one of the songs his fellow labourite was teaching him of which he was so chuffed to learn.

Follow follow, we will follow Rangers,
    Everywhere, anywhere,
    We will follow on,
To Dundee, Hamilton, F**k the Pope and the Vatican.

At this point I would like to interject, having listened to hunners of Orange Rangers songs could I point out that there is no “To” before Dundee.

Great campaigning material for the seat of Glasgow East the morra I should say.

    Joe as in “for tat”?

Facebook does not seem to be too user friendly for some politicians either, judging by some abrasive remarks t’other night!

  • LabourNIman

Glad to see him go.. people need to keep their ego’s in check in this election.

  • Noted Paul Staines (Guido) added Rangers lyrics on his blog that were no tweeted. Seems like many that any Rangers fan is good for some sectarian point scoring. Back to Maclennan, total idiot.

How do you know they were not tweeted?, seemed pretty specific.

Being accused of being a Rangers fan is as we all know potentially defamatory. Being a Celtic fan of course is wonderful if you like getting gubbed, and I am now a confirmed masochist.
