Join us for Slugger’s Big Election Punt event on Thurs the 1st of June…

What an exciting year for politics.

As we face yet another election join us to discuss the runners and riders in the race for seats. Who are the favourites? Who will be neck and neck? Who will be trailing the pack?

Brexit, the impending collapse of the Labour Party and decades of Tory rule. Not to mention President Trump. Join our expert panel to discuss all these issues and more:

The hosts for the evening will be our own David McCann and Alan Meban.

“We take our politics very seriously at MW Advocate, but with a dose of humour and good craic as well. We are delighted to partner Slugger O’Toole in this pre election event and I am sure the evening will appeal to all of the political anoraks and election junkies out there. We look forward to seeing you in the Dark Horse. ” Brendan Mulgrew, MW Advocate (event sponsor)

The venue is the Dark Horse Bar in the Cathedral Quarter. As always we are grateful to Willie Jack and the staff of the Dark Horse for their support of Slugger events.  The events kicks off at 7:15pm so you should aim to be there by 7pm to get a good seat.

We are reader supported. Donate to keep Slugger lit!

For over 20 years, Slugger has been an independent place for debate and new ideas. We have published over 40,000 posts and over one and a half million comments on the site. Each month we have over 70,000 readers. All this we have accomplished with only volunteers we have never had any paid staff.

Slugger does not receive any funding, and we respect our readers, so we will never run intrusive ads or sponsored posts. Instead, we are reader-supported. Help us keep Slugger independent by becoming a friend of Slugger. While we run a tight ship and no one gets paid to write, we need money to help us cover our costs.

If you like what we do, we are asking you to consider giving a monthly donation of any amount, or you can give a one-off donation. Any amount is appreciated.
