Dissidents step up attacks on Sinn Fein

It has been apparent for some time now that dissident republicans have been spoiling for a fight with mainstream republicans as represented by Sinn Fein. The overnight attack on a Sinn Fein office in Derry was preceded by an attack on the home of Sinn Fein MLA Mitchel McLaughlin and the leaving of a hoax device near the former home of Deputy First Minister, Martin McGuinness. Dissident republicans have also been blamed for the attempted murder of an Ardoyne man earlier in the week, though that incident is not being linked to the dissident targeting of Sinn Fein.
Given the day that’s in it, it is telling that Sinn Fein Chairman in Derry, Paul Fleming, noted,”The only thing that they succeeded in destroying last night was iconic pictures of Bobby Sands’ election victory announcement, portraits of the hunger strikers and other republican memorabilia.”

is this the same group that people here said have no support???

this gang of scum has support throughout the country. and you can see it on writing from the falls road to londonderry as well as lurgan lisburn and elsewhere.

though the loss of vital pictures of bobby (dieter of the year)sands is hardly a loss.

You start to wonder, if the Sinners have any creative, problem-solving ideas anywhere in their portfolio, or perhaps, if they really ever had a portfolio for the people.
This is getting more and more like the old Stalinism of the 1940s. Because Joseph Stalin says it is so, it must be so. And no one dares question the idiocy of policy from on high.
Is everyone worshiping stone idols that they now know to be false gods, but they continue to worship the stone idols just the same knowing it is pointless?
The windows either need to opened wide and let the fresh air in, or the house needs to be tummeled completely

    Chris,

Be careful out there. This is likely to get worse before it gets better.

ngg’s posting is that of a hate filled idiot, bobby sands was loved world wide and countries as far as india supported his struggle, when he died brittish consulates were attacked and flags burned all over the world. what greatness have you achieved? say what you will about the late bobby sands but by not negotiating the state of political prisoners they left bobby sands to die for what he believed in and in doing so whether right or wrong he got more support for the republican cause than probably any one man ever had. it is not right to comment on the dead ecspecially not the ones worth remembering and I’m guessing your not on the faulds road often. what benefit has ireland had from brittish occupation? what would it be like if suddenly there was northern scotland over run and swearing allegiance to the crown of spain? mistakes have been made on both sides.

    Bobby who?
Most of the world never heard of him.Just go to India and ask.

The fire in the Derry office may have destroyed memorabelia of the 1981 Martyrs, but it is $pin Fein who have disgraced the memories of those men when they signed away political status for Republican POW’s and when they accepted the RUC/PSNI as the legitimate police force in the north, the same bigoted partitionist police force that put bobby and his comrades in the cages and the blocks in the first place.

The fact that AP/RN has now done away with the easter message from the ‘leadership of the republican movement (PIRA)’ now proves that they are nothing more than a constitutional nationalist party, merely a greener SDLP.

The people of the Divis area in belfast are living under constant fear and terror from hoods, theives and death drivers, where is gerry adams? where is alex maskey? where is bobby storey? these so called representatives of the republican people are nowhere to be seen while our community is ripped apart from within. we should all fall in behind the C.F.A.D who have sufferd at the hands of C.R.J/P$F blackspeak and rumours while they try to clean the streets of drug dealers, what is spin feins agenda? it certainly isnt the emancipation of the working class and the creation of a 32 county republican socialist nation.

We will see the communitys reaction this july and onwards when Spin fein try and box the nationalist/republican community in there own areas to alow triumphalist orange order/loyalist parades past there homes.

was sands was a much loved world figure?

    what did he do?

what did his life do to benifit others?

he died a coward. from a gang of cowards.

very little is ever achieved at the end of a barrel. but sands death did ddo something.

it saved us having to buy him food for another 10 years.

if only more of those ira scum had gone his way the country would be a beeter place.

Why the melodrama? A broken window and an arson attack, nine times out of ten it’ll be kids.

Sinn Féin don’t need to hype up this stuff into a campaign without evidence. ‘Dissenting’ republicans made abundantly clear their position on SF today and it goes way beyond busting a window or pouring petrol through a letterbox.

    WorkersRepublic32;

“it certainly isnt the emancipation of the working class and the creation of a 32 county republican socialist nation.”

On a related theme, why don’t the reborn Real IRA put their own house in order first, by sorting out the drug gangs in Limerick, Cork, and Dublin; not to mention the herb man hustlers who live in and around the Dundalk area? Most of the drugs that are being sold in the North are coming across the border and that includes those that are being peddled in places like Bangor.

    ngg;

“the country would be a beeter place.”

    Beetroot juice all around.

these so called representatives of the republican people are nowhere to be seen while our community is ripped apart from within.

Anything to say about the attempted murder in Ardoyne the other night, WR32?

Ripping the community apart with bully-boy tactics since… (take your pick) – dimwitted ‘republican’ thugs.

  • WorkersRepublic32

    Scaramoosh,

I dont belive that Oglaigh na hEireann have a prescence in Limerick, you would need to pose that question to RSF/CIRA who are active there.

    picador,

I cannot comment on the shooting in ardoyne, as i dont know who was shot and why, but if the lad is a hood, a thief, or a drug dealer, then i will commend the actions of the men who sorted it.

  • “he died a coward. from a gang of cowards.”

Bobby Sands was many things but a coward was certainly not one of them, this coming from someone who is certainly no fan of physical-force republicanism. I do not share his beliefs and deplore his methods utterly but starving yourself for a belief is hardly the act of a coward.

    WorkersRepublic32:

Can I just get something straight. In the 32-county Worker’s Republic, are capital and corporal punishment to be the norm ? Do republicans not believe in a trial, indeed trial by jury, and if so, why was this not imposed in this case ?

rather disingenuos attempt to portray SF as the victims here Chris. As I am sure you are well aware of the PRMs activites in relation to so called dissidents and those who left the movement in recent years. These activities have ranged from kidnapping and torture( well documented) to the lesser inconveniences of having employment removed, exclusion orders on where people can live and socialise within Ireland, childrens education dictated, smear campaigns initiated and on and on…. in a lot of cases these campaign have been directed by patty vindicive people who have risen to positions of authority within SF post 1994. Sort of doesnt stack up too well against a brick being thrown and an arson attempt niether of which can be blamed on the new PRM bogey men the “dissidents”

  • In Defence of The Nation

    Mearse,

You could also mention that members of the PRM were responsable for the brutal murder of Vol. JoJo O’Connor.
