Pipe bombs in Limerick…

Not sure what this means, but the Limerick blogger is on to this pretty quick… I might be wrong, but I don’t associate pipe bombs with the south west… Worth keeping half an eye on…

Update: from Republican Sinn Fein:

Joe Lynch from Beechgrove Avenue in Ballinacurra Weston who is the director of local elections in the area for RSF said the raid on his home was designed simply to intimidate election workers in the run up to the contest for the Limerick City Council.

These raids are simply to harass our election workers but we will not be intimidated by these tactics he said. In my home they removed some children’s computers and mobile telephones and they raised the recent actions in the Six Counties against the British forces of occupation.

There are still some holdouts from the Civil War down there

I’d associate pipe bombs with that area – I thought these local dedicated republicans were in the business of producing them and then selling them on to the criminal scumbags that seem to terrorise the city?

‘designed simply to intimidate election workers in the run up to the contest for the Limerick City Council.’

Definitely, RSF will really struggle to reach it’s target of double figure votes now.
