Bad moon rising

There’s no guarantee tonight’s total lunar eclipse will be as spectacular as last year’s, as photographed by Sammy Morse, but it will be the last one to be fully visible here until September 2015. All the possible information you could want on tonight’s total eclipse from NASA. Partial eclipse begins here at 1.43am, full eclipse at 3.01am.And here’s a video record of last year’s event.

But since I probably won’t be up until the small hours watching tonight, I’ll repost some appropriate music.. All together now.. “I saw Lon Chaney walking with the Queen..”

  • That’s quite a late time to be staying up until to see shapes in the sky – but I’m sure it’ll be worth it! Let’s pray for no clouds…

Some photograph by Sammy. Well done to him.

I’ve just looked outside Pete and it’s cloudy here – might be a no show.

  • Pete Baker

Well, if you’re awake and it’s clear. ;o)

Last year’s happened on my birthday (yay) during the Blog Awards. But we lost (boo).

  • It was cloudy when I got home at 11 and I was tired, so a no-show from me last night, I’m afraid.

  • esmereldavillalobos

No show here either, I even set the alarm 🙁
