Photograph of the Day – Thank you C4

As part of a C4 documentary,  a full scale section of the prow of the Titanic was built using, as best they could, the techniques of the day. Is it a sculpture? Is it a model?

It looks good tho it gives me that sinking feeling

  • HeinzGuderian

Me thinks fergPrick would be the type of saddo who would make ‘quips’ about any disaster…………..well,maybe not famine ?? 🙁

  • pablo

See that green ship in the backround, thats an Irish ship, Arklow Shipping, good catch

  • PaddyC

    HeinzGuderian, too soon?

  • Neil

Quite right Heinz. Your own comedic contribution has been outstanding to date.

  • A bit last century. How about a scale model of Anglo Irish HQ, or to keep it local to NI, Presbyterian Mutual?

  • Fearglic

Who is fergPrick? And the pic truly does give me the said feeling. If you can’t laugh at tragedy you are tragic matey.

  • JaneJeffers

Nice, but hard to get a feel for scale from the picture.

  • joeCanuck

It’s surprising, given the ability of computer graphic artists these days, that they would do this for real. Depends on the scale and thus relative costs, I guess. It doesn’t look right to me. I would guess from the box frames supporting it that it is 25 – 30 feet tall.
