Barcamp on Saturday…

Paul Evans and I will be at Barcamp Belfast on Saturday, mostly because there are a couple of political themes (hyperlocal Belfast and Freedom of Information for bloggers) already being discussed there, and we thought it would be a good opportunity to kick around some ideas for the next PICamp (that’s political innovation camp), which we hope to organise in Scotland later in the Summer. We’re planning to host a conversation on crowdsourcing for journalism. Hope to see some of you there…

Anybody know if this event is in the York Street campus please? Details elswhere are not clear.

  • Yes, it is in Belfast campus on York St.

For a webby event, arguably it’s not the most helpful of websites, although it does have a map with a big pin stuck in it at the botoom of the (very long) home page!

  • time?

I noticed that too, no time, vague location details. It may be a unconference but it doesn’t need to be disorganised.

I might go depending on time – my priority is the Antrim match on Sunday.

  • Their twitterfeed says 9am – 5pm at the University of Ulster, York Street. http://twitter.com/barcampbelfast
