DUP lessons for incoming Tory politicians…

By my limited reckoning the Tories are ahead in the buzz war in Britain, but as for Northern Ireland, well… Here’s another DUP mash up with Theresa May really struggling quite badly to remember where her party is running and ducking the Adrian Watson (ahem, Chris Grayling) question…

Should be embarassing but actually hilarious . She knows where Finchley is no doubt 😉

The rest of the Conservatives need to take note and do their homework before they come over. But at least are are coming over, and when Theresa is minister of whatever lets hope she remembers the voters over here too!

There are going to be gig cuts in public spending across the UK. If the DUP or other nationalist parties seek regional protectionism, then any parliament will disintegrate (and cause huge damage to the United kingdom). Other regions will see themselves as unfairly treated and rebel.
How this affects Sterling or the credit ratings is anyone’s guess, but it will not be good.
Any hung parliament will not last long and the after effects for parochial politics will be nasty.

    Big picture!!!

Good to see her over and at least taking an interest. Maybe she could have been better prepared by her advisers, but in the scheme of things it’s no big deal. The Labour Party isn’t even bothering to put up candidates in NI until next year .. if they get round to it. There are 646 constituencies in the UK. She would be super woman if she could remember all of them along with the candidates.

I look forward to hearing Seamus McKee having a go at the Shinners in the same manner he has been questioning Unionists recently.

About average for a Tory, aside from election times and political point scoring the North do not count. Would the good lady be so uninformed on, West Wales or Northern Scotland electoral areas and candidates ?.

On second thoughts scratch that, she probably would!

Who is Theresa May? I presume she is some kind of high ranking Tory. If she is just an English MP then no big deal, but if she is a party officer responsible for overseeing electoral strategy in some capacity, then it would say a lot about how the Tories view the UCUNF link up.

  • Davros

To be fair, if you’re a unionist it makes perfect sense although Dave’s shtick that the Tories aren’t the nasty party anymore is in tatters.

  • Munsterview

She do not exactly sparkle it appears. Seems at best she is second rate local council ‘make up numbers’ material. Judge for yourselves…….

Why did the Tories get into bed with the Unionists.

Would Mrs Watson let Tories and Unionists get into bed together in her guest house (well not now I suppose)

  • joeCanuck

Just listened to the whole link from jtwo. Woeful! She would have done them all a favour if she had stayed at home.

    USA,
Theresa May is a past Chairwoman of the Conservative Party; so, yes, fairly high ranking.

And to think she could be a cabinet minister next month.

  • Munsterview

Who told her there was so much mire in Unionist/DUP politics that she felt she has to wear wellingtons for her visit to Ireland ?

Driftwood, I’m not sure what you’re trying to persuade us of. Federal UK ? No problem.

This colonial stuff is damned inconvienent during a busy time for British Island(English Tories if you like) politicians.
