Six Nations – Round 4b

If the notoriously unpredictable French can replicate their performance against Wales they should prove too strong for an equally notoriously ill-disciplined England at Twickenham today. If they do, they will keep alive an outside chance of taking the championship ‘against the head’ in their final match against Italy. Eddie Butler is hoping for something dramatic – “Don’t expect subtlety to be the order of the day when two jumbo teams collide.” England v France – Kick-off 3pm. Half-Time England 29 – 0 France. The French are in tatters against a much improved England side. Final England 34 – 10 France. France recovered some of their poise in the second half but too late to rescue the game.

  • Which means that Ireland will win the 6n if they dont lose by more than 12 points against Wales. I dont think that will happen.

Ireland to win the Grand Slam

  • dewi

Clarifies stuff at least. French people are so strange – sometimes they really can’t be bothered. It would be a trifle ironic if Ireland got the Slam this season when they ain’t been inspiring – can’t quite see it myself….

  • Toxteth O’Grady

Good to see some flamboyant attacking rugby rather than the stodgy celtic kicking for position and pick and run.

  • ulsterfan

This was a powerful display by England.
A lot of commontaters will revise their selection for the Lions tour.

  • dewi

Ulsterfan – tell me your team?

  • dewi

    wyn jones
    god knows

  • It was Sammy Mc Nally what done it

on current form there is no way Ryan Jones will be near the team – widweeker Captain. Ferris is miles ahead – he’s been outstanding.

Have Stringer in before Phillips at the moment -hes got to stop running into contact – but hopefully only after the Irish game.

  • dewi

hooker sammy ? and don’t say my mam….Best looking good ?

  • It was Sammy Mc Nally what done it

I thought Best was excellent (he does soooo look like the puff on the piano on Jonathan Ross) some of the Irish papers thought Flanners would be back. If Ireland beat Wales ( I personally think we will lose narrowly) then whichever Irish hooker starts will be favourite.

    ps I love Wazza.

  • Greagoir O Frainclin

Well done Ireland ……Roll on Cardiff next weekend!
