De Rossa tripped rather than attacked…?

There’s been a bit of a ruck over an alleged attack on Irish Labour Party MEP Prionsias De Rossa outside Liberty Hall on Monday night. Like many of these matters, things aren’t always as they seem. A website called We Are Change Ireland (via P.ie) has footage suggesting that he actually tripped over inside the building after running after a cameraman. It’s rather dark and indistinct, but… it looks embarrassing…

Adds: Smiffy at Cedar Lounge on who We are change actually are…

The video would be a lot more effective without the preaching.

Better just to show De Rossa as an eejit I would have thought.

Indymedia have more detail that exposes some of our politicians and media as unmitigated liars, seeking to demonise those who don’t support the surrender of Irish national sovereignty to another parliament. De Rossa, of course, voted in favour of an EU resolution to ignore the outcome of Ireland’s vote on the Lisbon treaty subject to that vote rejecting the treaty thereby showing his abject contempt for democracy and for national sovereignty.

Time to focus on the memo and get the message out there. Vote NO!!d

Mmmm! Interesting over at The Cedar Lounge where they appear to have a conspiracy theory attitude to conspiracy theorists.

Does that mean that they too are part of the conspiracy or merely that I might be in danger of adopting a conspiracy theory around The Cedar Lounge?

I’m getting confused. Time for a spliff.

Maybe it has to reach a stage before the tea is tossed in the harbor, however that will not happen so long as the EU ‘culture’ is adopted.

SF for example love the EU, they like the wackiest ideas best, they are the straight banana party. They’re really are buck eejits.

What is the difference between Ruane running DENI and Special Branch/NCIS, I don’t see any difference at all.

And, so, what difference does it make? Abortion will be a right and our schools will be full of sex offenders courtesy of Spook Inc., and does it matter?

Who would have thought, ten years ago, that we’d have a SF education minister, telling us sex offenders in schools were good for our kids and relaying that message because the Brit security services want that message transmitted?

That’s where we are. I was speaking to folks in DC, they’re complaining that Ruane, and SF are ignoring requets for clarification, we’re talking high-flyers in the USA.

    What is going on?

If you want a job with DENI you’ll need to switch over to crystal meth usage. They have an employment program for *real* drug users. They don’t pause on the tiddly stuff.

I’m going to have to load the vid of the alleged violent trip in Safari, IE isn’t doing it for me. It looks like a De Rossa censorship thing out of Redmond Wa. I think Bill would like him.

The question is – did he ship on the strap of the cameraman’s bag or on one of the shiny super-dollars belonging to his old buddy?

Can’t wait for this week’s Observer to read an exclusive from their Ireland Correspondent on the fearsome kicking that De Rossa was subjected to from the hob nail boots worn by Gerry Adams.

It’s quite obvious that the “elderly gentleman” was not “viciously attacked” or “knocked to the ground” or “sat on” but rather he lost his tattered rag and attacked a cammerman in the manner of a common thug, chasing after him and tripping over his two left feet during his atempted assualt on the cammerman. Will the media and other politicians who told lies to the Irish public now retract their false testimony and apologise for their disgraceful behaviour? Answers on a postcard, please.

Wonder why the film cut out so quickly, not allowing us to see / judge what happened after this (i.e. when he was allegedly sat on)…if that didn’t happen, why won’t the WACos roll the rest of the footage?

  • Dave

Because they put down the camera to help the aggressive buffoon back to his feet or perhaps to see if the other cameraman was harmed during De Rossa’s assault? De Rossa isn’t exactly of slight build, is he? If a man of his bulk hit you, you’d be injured.
