Both the Republic and Northern Ireland have made huge strides up the FIFA world rankings.. That will keeps Stan’s vociferous media critics pegged back for a game or two… But you get the impression Sanchez, having hauled his team of ‘also rans’ to the top of their group ahead of teams like Sweden, Denmark and Spain, will keep his eye on the difficult back end of the qualifiers… H/T JD
