Today all the nominations are lodged for the Election on 7th March, so we are now relatively sure there actually will be an election. As in the past, we hope to bring you on-the-ground reports in the week running up to the event itself. As we get closer to the election, we’ll also bring you more Slugger Radio reports, with a series of policy round tables, a Slugger Live! event with a panel of politicians answering your questions, on and off line. We should also have video interviews this year as well as our usual blog reporting, and result services. But to do that, we need your help! This year, I’m setting an ambitious target of £2,000 in donations. This will help us buy some of the equipment we’ll need for the video/sound reporting ,as well as bring in specialised help where needed. There may even be something in there to pay for my time on the ground. There will also be some additional opportunities for the sponsoring both our overall coverage, and specific events. And, for organisations, there is always our Message Space slot, which now carries video as well as flash advertising.
If you have a paypal account, or visa card you should be able to donate through the button on the right. Or you can send a direct payment to:

PS, I won’t be shaving the beard this year…. Made me look a bit weird (or slightly more than usual) last time out…
