Gavaghan: NI’s top public service earner..

The TaxPayers Alliance amassed an interesting set of figures, using a series of FOI requests: the top 170 public sector wage earners in the UK. Top of the NI pile, beating Tony Blair by some distance is David Gavighan of the Strategic Investment Board (set up to claw back some value for the UK treasury) at number 64 (£218,302 pa).

Interesting. most of those at the top of the list would make a lot more if their companies were privatised

So judging by the map – Do the Taxpayers think that the UK has annexed Donegal??
Is this what the map of Ulster Could have looked like???

    Strange.

Another good subject ruined by a border bore.

QS, not necessarily. ‘Say what you see’ is surely applicable? But it doesn’t preclude further discussion of the main subject.

Most obviously, when is the public going to see some return for this public investment? And is it going to serve the interests of the treasury or Northern Ireland’s under funded infrastructure?

What’s also interesting (sickening) about this one is that if you look at the outfit’s annual report, you’ll also see that they’re paying £5m+ per year on outside consultants presumably to help him.

In addition to the usual suspects at PwC etc, this includes almost a million quid that’s being paid to ‘others’!

It’s shocking. I will be offering my consulting services to the government to suggest to them how to get the best deal out of consultants.

It will be excellent value for money!
