Less than an hour to go…

John Reid has spoken to all the main political leaders and announced that the Assembly is to be suspended at 10am this morning.

The FT writes, as we suggested here, on Friday:

“Mr Reid is also expected to announce the appointment of two additional ministers to support him in the running of the province. He is also set to announce a cut in the salaries of the assembly members during the period of suspension. This will be the fourth time the government has invoked its powers to suspend in order to preserve the Good Friday agreement.”

Update: It is to be suspended at midnight tonight.
