Last night was a brilliant result for the Democrats as voters rejected the kleptocracy of the Trump regime. So far, Democrats have flipped Senate seats in Michigan, Texas, Iowa, Kansas, North Carolina, South Carolina and Ohio with more to come.
It was a stunning display of democracy as voters rejected the billionaire attempts to buy their way to yet more power. In Texas the utterly disgusting $500 million that billionaires poured into attack ads on James Talerico came to nothing as he was elected breaking a 38-year drought for his party in the Republican stronghold.
“We just took back Texas!” the 37-year-old told jubilant supporters at an election night party in Austin, the state capital and his home city. “We just proved that all the money in the world is no match for the people of Texas. We have just shown that a politics of division is no match for a politics of love.”
“In this race, we went up against our own Goliaths: the richest man in the world, the most powerful man in the world and the entire Washington DC establishment,” he said, referring to multi-billionaire Elon Musk and the US president. “The people of Texas were my slingshot and tonight we defeated Goliath.”
“We just sent a message to every billionaire mega-donor, every trillionaire mega-donor, every corrupt defender of this broken political system, in this state, in this country: power belongs to the people”.
Musk took to X to try to laugh off the frankly unconscionable $500 million he gave to Republican candidates:
What a loathsome c***.
Of course Trump took absolutely no responsibility for the losses, posting on social media:
“I wasn’t on the Ballot and if I was, we would have won IN A LANDSLIDE! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”
Meanwhile Idaho voters projected to choose the Winchester Model 1873 as their official state gun.
At long last US voters are waking up to the depravity and utter immorality of the Trump regime. With all the misery in the world it is a good reminder of the power of good to triumph over evil.
