“It’s about time we started honouring those people involved in the armed struggle. It was the bombs and bullets and sacrifice made by the likes of Bobby Sands that brought Britain to the negotiating table. The peace we have now is due to the action of the IRA.”

“The deaths of innocent civilians in IRA attacks is a real tragedy, but it was as a result of British occupation in Ireland”

Congratulations your history teacher will be proud.

Do shadow Ministers have any importance at all?

  • chrisjones2

Ideal choice. WIll help Corbyn along road to oblivion

McDonnell plumbing new depths of idiocy there. Awful man.

Absolutely delighted at the removal of the odious Ivan Lewis as shadow secretary. I suspect if he had been Secretary in a Labour administration we would have seen more of Mendelsohn’ s sorry Mandelson’s entrenched biased attitudes.

  • Reader

Um, well, yes. The likes of Lewis and Mandelson would offend some of Corbyn’s Middle Eastern friends, wouldn’t they.
    But what’s your objection?

  • Zeno

    Goading again Robin?

  • Diana Russ

I commend Jeremy Corbyn on his appointment of a shadow Minister of Mental Health. Luciana Berger will be perfect for this role.

  • Reader

I see what you did there…
But does it make sense to have a Shadow Minister where there isn’t actually a Government Minister? The proper title is spokesperson, surely.
Is the Shadow Cabinet bigger than the Cabinet now?
