“the actions of those few misguided people who are not welcome in our society..”

Whilst the semi-detached polit-bureau Northern Ireland Executive contemplate the economic crisis others prefer more familiar, to some, objectives strategies. From the BBC report.

Up to 20 homes have been evacuated following a security alert in Limavady. The army was tasked after a suspicious object was found near the police station in the Connell Street area. Police said the majority of those evacuated were elderly. They are being provided with shelter at Limavady Leisure Centre. The public have been advised by police to stay away from the town centre and motorists are advised to take alternative routes.

Update Now declared a “deliberate hoax”.

Low scumbags who obviously had no problem with causing the evacuation of a whole row of pensioners to a leisure centre.

Was it really necessaty to evacuate pensioners.
They should have known it was 90% probably a hoax.
As with road accidents the lcoal plods cetainly know how turn a minor incident into a drama and get on the telly.

I’m sure it is protocol and there isn’t much room for manoeuvre. I wouldn’t like to be the guy who failed to evacuate them and then had a bomb go off.

Is there a protocol for closing a road for a whole day after an accident has occurred?
