Guido is a PD

Who knew?

  • Aaron S

Anyone who was at the irish election blogging conference in october knew, because he was talking about it at some length.

Didn’t think he’d follow his drunked ambition to help them out through though…

  • Who cares?

  • SuperSoupy

If this keeps up I’ll have to start using my toes to count them all.

  • Quaysider

I think it’s absolutely fascinating that the most important political blogger in Britain is Irish.
I’m sure Macswiney would be wetting himself if their political stars aligned.

  • He mentioned it more than a year ago.

  • Soupy,

Who was complaining there were too many of them on politics.ie?

  • Quayside

“I’m sure Macswiney would be wetting himself if their political stars aligned”.

    Eh…???

  • SuperSoupy

    Mick,

You aren’t confusing multiple identities created for elections with real people are you? I would have thought you’d have learnt a lesson on that after the evaporation of the hordes of ‘dissident’ and SDLP contributors to Sluggers post Assembly election.

Most regulars on p.ie aren’t falling for it.

  • Well not that i’m pointing fingers but Shore Road Resident seems to have a plethora of identies these days…

  • SuperSoupy

We’re talking about politics.ie where the election has resulted in hundreds of newly registered users signing up mainly to contribute spurious ‘internal’ constituency polls they just happen to have details of. That along with baseless gossip and stacking any polls being run.

It’s fascinating even the online election is miles dirtier in the south.

  • Apologies Soupy,

I thought you were referring to Slugger, although we have occasional multiple identies here as well.

  • SuperSoupy

You may very well think that; I couldn’t possibly comment.

  • Anyone who reads “Order! Order!” would know that Guido is a PD. He hardly makes a secret of it.

Quaysider: “I think it’s absolutely fascinating that the most important political blogger in Britain is Irish.”

Who would that be? Staines/Guido was born in Ealing in West London.

  • “They are fighting a strong threat from a rainbow coalition of Socialists, Greens and Gerry Adams’ gangsters.”

    Really? That’s news to me.

  • Aaron S

Who would that be? Staines/Guido was born in Ealing in West London.

    He’s of Irish stock.

  • páid

The footballer Paul McGrath was also born in Ealing.

    Of Irish stock.

    And Nigerian.

Lionel Richie sang about Ealing also.

  • IJP

    He’s of Irish stock.

    Ain’t we all?

  • Michael Shilliday

I’ve been reading it for quite a while now and never picked that up!
