Playing with the big boys…

OWEN and the England crew have arrived in Northern Ireland. They haven’t been here for a while, so Healy will, I hope, make the best of the opportunity. Realistically, we can’t hope for much, but – despite the good result against Azerbaijan and poor English performances of late – it’s still important for Lawrie Sanchez’s future here that the team is seen to do its best. Beckham isn’t the only player that can take a decent free kick, right?. When David bumped into Goliath the last time, everyone bet on the giant. This time everyone’s money is on David . Pray for a different result – an English own goal please, not an Owen goal…What do you mean the whole ‘David/Goliath’ thing was the naffest analogy ever?! Orlaith didn’t think so!

And if I had had any sense, I could have saved meself the effort of finding all those links and just posted this one. And the spoof Daily Ireland editorial on that thread turned out to be eerily accurate!
