Rumour mill: IRA discussing the deal…

One story doing the rounds at the moment is that some sections of the IRA are happy with the package as laid out by the two governments, whilst others are not. We have no idea of the veracity of the claim, but will keep you posted if it proves to be more than speculation.

That would seem to be a rumour with no available source, Mick.

  • Mick Fealty

    Indeed. A rumour in fact.

  • ShayPaul

Dangerous to deal in rumours Mick ?

Where would the north’s politicians be without rumours and innuendoes, for most it is their daily bread, hence their love of those smoke filled rooms and cosy one to one chats?

What deal would satisfy the sections helping to supply one third of NI’s petrol stations with illegal fuel. Also why are ROI heating oil prices so much higher than here. Was it money from America or an oil franchise that funded the RA?

What use are HM Customs and Excuses anyhow. No-one there heard of chemical markers? I think we did the dilution experiment successfully at school age 14.

  • Davros

Henry McDonald and the Observer seem to add weight to your ‘rumour’ Mick.

Reading the Grecian 2000 quotient I would say he isn’t too worried about any new breakaway factions.

Adams says paisley will do a deal

“Rumour” has it that Dr No is prepared to say Yes.

Well you make peace with your enemies, that’s what makes it hard …..

  • ShayPaul

Morrison says paisley won’t do a deal

“Rumour” has it that Dr No is not prepared to say Yes.

Well you make peace with your enemies, that’s what makes it hard …..

  • ShayPaul

    So much for “rumours”

  • Davros

Shay – Morrison isn’t even a SF official , so I think his “thoughts” carry less weight than those of Gerry ๐Ÿ™‚

Will Danny eat his hat or won’t he ?

  • Davros

As Gerry points out, Danny doesn’t even own a hat ๐Ÿ™‚
I’m sure, however, he would be able to lay his hands on a moth-balled balaclava;)

  • ShayPaul

Will Ian be swallowing his sword and eating his bowler ? ;o)

  • Davros

I would suspect there will be a few falling on swords ๐Ÿ˜‰

BTW- what odds we’ll end up with Blunkett in NI ? ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • ShayPaul

Oh – that could lead to a lot of hard Belfast jokes, but I’m not going down that alley or we’ll all be in for some stick.

  • Davros

It was telling that of David Yelland, Christine Odone and the wonderful John Mortimer , only the former editor of the Currant Bun had a kind word to say about mr B ๐Ÿ™‚ He’ll make a wonderful NI secretary!

  • ShayPaul

With friends like that who needs enemies ? ;o!

  • ShayPaul

Must fly, enjoy the rest of your weekend.
