Already voted peteb 🙂 Conscience is bothering me as I voted in respect of other books and articles of his I have read , rather than the Master.

Well, Davros, I have to admit I’ve been intrigued by what I’ve heard and read about David Mitchell’s Cloud Atlas.. so I’ve contributed to the increased royalty cheque he’ll be receiving this year.

    It does look…Intriguing:)

Another Davros suggestion : “Snow Country” by Yasunari Kawabata. A very lateral link to this thread … I used to play Go – and Kawabata wrote
a book called “The Master of Go” .

What did you think of”Cloud Atlas” Pete ?

Achmat Dangor is a long way ahead in the People’s prize.

Can’t tell you that yet Davros.

It’s joined a small list that I’m reading through… slowly… and there’s one or two ahead of it..

A Suitable Boy joined my list …and always seems to be at the bottom 😉
