The papers here have been full of the IRA decommissioning story, even though it hasn’t happened yet. Indeed it could take until May time before it can be physically completed.

Jim Cusack claims the exclusive on the quantities involved, but this story was being floated by David Lister on Saturday.

The question remains as ever, will it be enough to give Trimble enough to convince the UUC that he has grounds for going back into government with Sinn Fein. Jeffrey Donaldson, a key player at the last meeting in September, is keeping his powder dry.
