At the UUP conference, Jim Nicholson, the electoral “crash test dummy” of the new arrangement between the Conservatives and the Ulster Unionists, was interviewed by BBC NI’s Jim Fitzpatrick and Mark Devenport – full interview below the fold. In this extracted clip Jim Nicholson tries to duck a question from Jim Fitzpatrick on any “voting transfer alliance” with Jim Allister’s TUV, but Mark Devenport follows up by highlighting an area that will require careful navigation by the newly conjoined parties – David Cameron’s reference to that conjoined entity “maybe appealling to SDLP and Alliance voters”.
