“Is it all going to get very exciting?”

In the Northern Ireland Assembly today, MLAs debated proposals, previously noted here, to amend Standing Orders on Assembly Questions – full debate here [new link].  Below the fold, where the SDLP’s Alex Attwood and the Alliance Party’s Naomi Long discuss the changes with Jim Fiztpatrick and Martina Purdy, the tendency of some ministers to deploy the time-killing, dead-bat approach of reading the lengthy answers provided to them is raised. But the first clip from Stormont Live includes a contribution from the UUP’s Ken Robinson – supplementary question lobber par excellence.
