Paul Evans and I ran the first Slugger Consults session at Mullan Training in Amelia Street yesterday. It was a pretty tight wall to wall session with short breaks and a grab-a-sandwich lunch. We had a range of good people there from public voluntary and private sector companies. As the first in a series of four we focused on the fundamental shift from channel to networks. Paul took people through the detail of the new platorms being used to rapidly network people, blogs, micro-blogging platforms like Tumblr and Posterous, which was followed up by a look at the kinds of threats and opportunities for anyone considering launching into this brave new world. There are still some places left in next Monday’s session on finding ways of bringing more people into your policy making processes… Or how to engage with key audience, without resorting to ‘tin ear’ stratagems like the No Ten e-petition site.
The last two of this first series, which take place later in the month, are on how you promote conversational communitieson Tuesday 23rd March, and Politics online campaigning and representation on Tuesday 30th March.
If you want to know more about this or any other of our consultancy packages, {encode=”[email protected]” title=”you can drop us a line”} or call myself or Paul Evans…
