Introducing Slugger’s new deputy editor and ‘head’ of business and innovation…

If you are a regular reader of Slugger O’Toole over the last six months or so you may have noticed a number of changes in the offering both online and off-line.

This is largely down to two new energetic and imaginative team members, Brian O’Neill and David McCann.

From today David will act as deputy editor of Slugger O’Toole, and will continue to develop new voices both as guest bloggers and as regular members of the team.

Brian’s work on the site has both simplified and stabilised the site, and has helped release us from the financial burdens of running a high traffic volume site like Slugger. Brian will head up business and innovation.

Both will play a crucial role in developing the business model for Slugger. It’s hoped for instance that we’ll be able to return to running the Slugger Awards [If we can find anyone sufficiently virtuous to ‘award’? – Ed].

So keep an eye out for changes, in the next few months. And if there are any you would like to see, or things you think we could do better, let us know below?

I should add that the titles don’t mean we’re going ‘corporate’, just trying to in the jargon ‘maximise our potential’…
