Slugger’s Digital Lunch: #HangoutOnAir…

… You can watch it here… Or join us…

  • Jack2

    Hi Mick!

    /waves.

  • Mick Fealty

    /waves back…

By god I don’t know what that was like to watch but it was great crack…

My explanation as to how people might join us was a little, erm, sparse… but I was multitasking at the time…

The digital lunches will continue for the next three weeks and possibly up until the end of August…

By September I am hoping we’ll have shaken up the format and little and we shift to a Thursday evening for those Hearts and Minds addicts missing the outputs from that once mighty team…

I’m going to do a more detailed write up of how you can get involved in these ‘programmes’ on the Slugger Consults blog

Friday night over lunch? Nah, better craic to be had on a Friday night around 11.30pm.

    Hi Mick, it’s progressing…

If you are doing this on a weekly basis, it might be good to have a format, eg at the start review top three political stories of the week, it would also be good if you had a topic for the week that was narrower than the Universe and everything in it, and have commitment from “guests” to attend with whom you can interact.

I couldn’t catch the live show yesterday, but will try to next Friday.

A downloadable podcast would also be nice, so people can listen on the move.

And it might be just me, but I would be just as happy with a format where guests or indeed yourself weren’t visible – no offence, it’s just it’s distracting thinking “could those walls do with a lick of paint”

Lastly, even in a radio studio, connections go down and it would be good if you had material which allowed you to continue with a guest who is suddenly knocked offline.

Great stuff though, and best of luck with futher events.

It is said that 1 in 3 teens in the usa believe that they will become famous.
I suppose this will do for the Ulster based folk of the same thinking, that would make it on to x factor, or its lilk.

Nothing like wishful thinking. 2 out of 3 teen girls in High School in the USA think that they will marry somebody rich like a doctor or lawyer.

  • lamhdearg2

sorry, should read, ” that would not make it”
