Quote of the day…

Rick Valkvinge with an old Swedish saying:

“Anything you say before ‘but’ in a political statement doesn’t count.”

Hmmm…

  • Crubeen

“Anything you say before ‘but’ in a political statement doesn’t count.”

Are not the words “before” and “but” redundant?

  • Rory Carr

Very nice, if, however we take a sentence such as:

“Gut instinct inclines us to agree with Valkvinge’s assertion, but, on closer examination we find…”, then, regardless of what comes after, his contention is nullified.

But, then, we kinda get what he means, as why would we not, having been brought to narcolepsy on a generation’s worth of Sun editorials.
