12 years until what (besides October 2023 I mean) ?

  • lamhdearg

Not much of a rugger chap myself but sombreros aloft to the youngsters if so – sure there’s manys the worse carry-on dat da youf of t’day could be at. Reading that “Engage” book by Paul Kimmage just now – decent enough yarn as it happens.

‘We shall not forsake the blue skies of freedom for the grey mists of an Irish republic.’

nun not much of a rugger man either, and even less an Ireland rugger (or Ireland anything) man, its just i thought i got the connection, and thought i would enlighten you, god (sorry, some word to replace god or heaven?) knows, i do not get many chances to enlighten anyone on slugger, them all being so right about everything already.
mooch, your a rugger man?, is cooke the club where North of Ireland fc found a home after their proddy asses and foreign game where cleansed from the Irish Nationalist Ormeau road?.

  • DT123

Maybe in 12 years ,the Ulster Branch will have decided to put their own team into the International rugby arena. No more descrimination on player selection ,flags and anthems.
I’m sure Northern Ireland could easily qualify for the Rugby World Cup and gives lots more of our players the chance to play at the highest level.

  • Drumlins Rock

maybe they will be playing in the host team in 12 yrs time….

  • lamhdearg

R.E. DTs comment, could Ulster cope with the world cup drumlins?

  • Drumlins Rock

well thought we could have the final here..

  • Lamhdearg
Indeed i was alluding to the Rugby Cup in 12years. I hadn’t made that connection re the move from the lower Ormeau. I have very vague memories of the club on a sunday afternoon (Hogarth springs to mind.)
