Wales Labour gets new leader

Carwyn Jones is a quite convincing victor of the leadership contest for Welsh Labour in the Assembly.
No need for transfers Carwyn won on the first ballot.

Carwyn Jones – 51.98 per cent
Edwina Hart – 29.19 per cent
Huw Lewis – 18.84 per cent

I hate to say it but the election was a model of civility and rational debate….bahhh that’s not like Welsh Labour!
And just a strange entirely unempirical observation – overwhelming victories ain’t always good…

Welsh Politics actually makes the London media

    From the Guardian – Carwyn:

“I am proud to be Welsh, I’m proud to be British, and I’m proud to be Labour.”

Should go down well in Ballymena.

Good to see a politician knowing that its right to go with out getting the push.

    Well done Rodhri Morgan.
