Gordon’s boat crew is fast disappearing…

GOrdon Brown is being left without a crew to man the boat… Now John Hutton has resigned, after being reported this morning as saying that James Purnell had made the wrong decision… To give you some idea of how it is going down with party activists, here’s the reaction to the news a few minutes ago on the Bournemouth Echo live blog at local election count in Dorset…

I’ve just been speaking to a Labour Swanage Town Councillor, Cherry Bartlett. I broke the news that Hutton had resigned and she held her head in her hands. She said the feeling amongst grass roots Labour is that they will be “slaughtered” at this election and the general mood is one of depression. She said it was a shame because they have one of their best candidates this year, but he doesn’t stand a chance with the national mood as it is.

If you want to know if Gordon Brown is still UK Prime Minster, the place to check is here

At least 10 years of Tory rule is not something I’m looking forward to.

That’s politics, you can be in the wrong place at the wrong time no matter how right you are either in opinion or for the position.

Bad news for Ireland -all of Ireland – but particularly Northern Ireland . But then Ireland never mattered to Tory voters either then or now and only now and then when it suited the Tories a means to climb into power .In this instance NI is being used as ‘trojan ‘ horse to delay or circumvent any potential Scottish exit from the Union . The word backfire comes to mind come the next Scottish election .

Yiz will regret it 🙁 Thatcher promised to revitalise the British economy by privatisation and in so doing she nearly destroyed British society . Cameron will probably achieve the reverse .
