Plus c’est la meme chose?

Two houses and a police vehicle were damaged in north Belfast last night when, according to the BBC report, “a crowd of about 30 people confronted police in Twaddell Avenue at about 0100 BST”. The attack on the houses is being described as sectarian. Meanwhile, commenter The Penguin has suggested that there is more to this report of “an aggravated burglary” than meets the eye.

Sectarianism from the natonalist community ?
    Surely not !

This attack on the Unionist Protestant community only gets 6 lines on the UTV news web site and it gets 2 paragraphs on the BBC news web site. However if this had been in a Loyalist town like Carrickfergus or Bangor there would have been 3 full days of coverage with outside broadcasts and interviews with the PSNI. Where the PSNI can tell us all how bad the Unionist Protestant community are.

Get the BBC and UTV up to Ardoyne to get the real story of the constant attacks on the Unionist Protestant community in this part of North Belfast, hold on that would not fit in with the BBC’s and UTV’s nationalist republican ethos.

This is just one attack in a long litany of attacks on the Unionist Protestant community of North Belfast. Attacks similar to this were the catalyst for the misguided protest at Holy Cross School.

The fact is that the whole holy cross debacle was nothing to do with the children. But with groups of known Sinn Fein/IRA personnel accessing the Unionist area of the Upper Ardoyne road, on the ruse of picking up children from the holy cross school. Then when travelling to and from the school, the Sinn Fein/IRA personnel were terrorising the local Unionist/Protestant children, pensioner and adult population?

However, once again the nationalist/republican media ignored the real issue and focused in on the holy cross children. There was never a mention of the Unionist/Protestant children, terrorised by the republican thugs on their way to and from school, the Protestant pensioners who were physically stopped from getting there pensions from the post office at the Ardoyne shops!

Do the hurley sticks and stones from nationalists/republicans from Ardoyne not break the bones of children and Pensioners from the Unionist/Protestant community?

So the protest was with the Sinn Fein/IRA personnel terrorising Unionists/Protestants and NOT WITH THE CHILDREN. However, there we go again the pious nationalist/republican community changing history again!

Now the next question is? What right-minded parent, would have put their children in the front line of this protest, and put them through that terrible situation. The same parents who would not take their children on the non-contentious way to their school via the Crumlin road, and try and defuse, not inflame the situation?

The Unionist / Protestant area of the Upper Ardoyne road are starting to galvanise their community in the face of an unprecedented nationalist/republican hatred and violence.

Now you will ask what caused this violence to be vented on this peaceful Unionist/Protestant population. Well, it all comes down to housing! Sinn Fein/IRA have for years tried to ethnically cleanse this area of anything Unionist or Protestant!

However, the Unionist/Protestant community have started to get the new housing they demanded. There are now new young families moving into the Upper Ardoyne from the Unionist/Protestant tradition, into the new housing built in the Upper Ardoyne!

So if you visit the Ardoyne remember that Unionist/Protestant live there too!

Just a quick Question? What of the Unionist/Protestant people ethnically cleansed from Torrens? Or do we not speak or deal with Unionist/Protestants being ethnically cleansed?

Not saying that Cruimh, all im saying is that it was a loyalist sectarian revisionist rant.Correct me if im wrong by all means.

  • Cruimh

    “all im saying”

Indeed – you have nothing to say about the sectarian attack that was blogged. That is telling.

  • Faolán

The Republican and Nationalist communities do not ethnically cleanse Protestant communities. If you Protestants would get the Brits out you wouldn’t have to go through this trouble.

Faolán – What happened to the protestants of New Barnsley? The protestants of the Garvaghey estate ?

And theres me thinking i just had.But then it brings me back a few years when houses in the lower Shankill were attacked(Supposedly by Republicans returning from the West Belfast Festival)as it turned out it was wee johnny and his crew cleaning house for his own supporters to move in. But then we had Nelson come out and comment on that incident before the real facts emerged. And god forbid the BBC and UTV failed to report the true events of that one too.

They moved to better housing just like they did on the lower Ormeau.Never seemed to be a problem getting protestants rehoused in them days.Oh Unionist discrimination politics dont you just love it, they were the days.

  • Cruimh

“And theres me thinking i just had”

Your post was ONLY to attack ranger’s contribution. Not a peep from you about the blog which was about an attack from your community.

If this had been a post about a loyalist sectarian attack upon RC homes we would have been on the third page by now.

You guys cannot complain about unonists in the past looking the other way!

Just had a look at the SF newsroom …

    ZILCH about this attack
ZILCH about the GAA disgrace …

what do they give us ? silly point scoring from the gun runner about an all-ireland response to Foot and mouth 😉

Untrue – they were driven out of their homes by violence and intimidation POL.

Now you are really struggling POL 🙂

The facts I stated were not contradicted and stand on their merits.

Ardoyne nationalists/republicans have been trying for years to cleanse this area and others in North Belfast of everything Unionist and protestant. The fact is that the BBC, UTV and PSNI have a see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil policy to nationalist/republican violence against the Unionist protestants of North Belfast.

The Unionist Protestant population have on numerous occasions asked for the BBC, UTV and PSNI to go to the area and give a balanced report on the situation. However, the broadcasters would rather interview Gerry Kelly for his unbiased views and the PSNI’s cameras are out of order when the nationalists/republicans cause trouble. Just like the 12th of July o5 parade returning back to Ligoneil. When the official report came out the PSNI said none of their video cameras that day were working. Now that is some coincidence!

I have to laugh when I recall that “Cruimh” aka IvanExVet aka Madradin Ruadh aka Davros aka…?once called ME a troll….Pol, catch yourself on…

  • But with groups of known Sinn Fein/IRA personnel accessing the Unionist area of the Upper Ardoyne road, on the ruse of picking up children from the holy cross school.

Balls. It had to do with the UVF trying to put their ugly purple flags on the ‘wrong’ side of the Crumlin Road, and a crowd of Shinners coming out of Butler Street and fecking their ladder through the window of their pick-up truck while they were doing it. The Loyalist reponse? Yeah, let’s blockade a Primary School, that was always going to show the world who the really oppressed people in North Belfast are, wasn’t it?
