Nigerian blogosphere and those elections

It is a fairly regular occurence on Nigerian television to see politicians dressing down journalists about the impertance of their questions. Yet, and perhaps unsurprisingly for a country with an apparently endless appetite for news and politics (even the highly questionable recent elections), the blogosphere there is increasing rapidly and is promising further opportunities to leapfrog the digital divide.     The Nigerian elections barely got a mention here in Spain. I heard something on the BBC World Service though. Amazing isn´t it that a country with 130 million people scarcely registers with the mainstream media. But then I guess the failure that the failure to report about Nigeria pales into insignificance compared with the 4 million said to have been killed in the Democratic Republic Congo in the last decade or so…
