A Cricket World Cup update

Bangladesh lost to the West Indies today in their final World Cup match. The WIndies had set a total of 230 from their 50 overs and the Bangladesh side only managed 131 all out in reply. Unfortunately, it was enough to maintain Bangladesh’s 7th place in the final table and Ireland remain in 8th. It’s a place that would have been worth an extra US$50,000 to the Ireland side. Still.. there’s always that official reception at Stormont to look forward too.. And a sad, but timely, reminder that the investigation into the murder of Bob Woolmer continues. Adds The inquest into the death of Pakistan cricket coach Bob Woolmer has been postponed because of “recent and significant developments” in the case.
