Slugger makes Irish Blog final…

Looks like we’ve made it to the final again… Bernie has all the finalists.. Alan in Belfast notes other ‘Northerners’ still in the running including Belfast emigre Red Mum, now happily ensconced in Dublin… and Honorary Belfastman Jett Loe

  • And I never knew until now that Red Mum had Belfast roots! But ever since the yellow duck pictures, I’ve been glued.

Though until the other day, I didn’t realise that you (Mick) didn’t have a BT* *** postcode either!

So much that the local blogging community doesn’t know about itself.

  • Hi Mick and Team !

Congratulations on your success on being ‘shortlisted’ !

…..but we’re gonna kick your ass next year….
    😉 !

    Sharon,

Your blog has always been probably the worst presented I’ve ever seen but one of the most interesting and a daily read.

You’ll win nothing until you realise you are competing with style over content.

Good luck for next and every year. Just don’t stop.

    SS.

  • Best of luck there boys. That’s a fine site you have here.

  • Donnacha

Well done to all. Good to see that all the effort you guys put in isn’t in vain. If I had to rely on the MSM to provide me with newsd from home, I’d be waiting a long time. So thank you from one tiny part of the Diaspora.

  • Hi SS !

“Your blog has always been probably the worst presented I’ve ever seen but one of the most interesting and a daily read.”
-thank you for that . I think !
We did privately experiment with a new lay-out , colours and fonts etc , but it just didn’t look ‘right’ to us , so we decided to carry-on with the old ‘style’ (or lack of !) .

“You’ll win nothing until you realise you are competing with style over content.”
-If we can ‘win’ readers or , at least , keep the existing ones , then that is enough of a ‘win’ for us !

“Good luck for next and every year. Just don’t stop.”
    -Thank You again .

    Sharon .
