Ahhh… So that’s Web 2.0 (in five minutes)…

If you need to know what Web 2.0 is, this is your man… Hat Tip Guido…

  • You know I was flicking through a book the other day and there wasn’t a single Google AdWord anywhere. I tried right-clicking to check its properties but it sounded more like a tap. And there is no appreciable flicker in the display. I tell you, books are the future of the internet!

    Indeed…

Just read this passage in Don Quixote:

“That fellow Cervantes has been a good friend of mine for years and I know he’s more conversant with adversity than with verse. His book’s ingenious enough; it sets out to achieve something but doesn’t bring anything to a conclusion; we’ll have to wait for the promised second part; maybe with correction it will gain the full pardon denied it for so long; so while we wait and see, you keep it captive in your house my friend”.

    Night all…

  • Crataegus

I enjoyed the link. Very well constructed though some may say it states the obvious?

Thing is Crat, I’m not sure it is obvious to everyone…

  • As someone who runs a site that looks pretty much the same as it did in 1998, I thought that was really interesting.

  • It’s not just that it’s obvious or not, its about what it means. What it means to society, to communication, to our collective consciousness. What it all has yet to do is to seriously break out beyond the PC. That’s when the power of the Internet, more than just the web, will really make sense. Web 2.0 is an evolution from email to the real ‘aha’ moment, when people around the world truly understand how this technology is as important as the printing press, the French Revolution and penicillin combined.
