This is a slow news day. Maybe here’s that miracle the Doc was talking about. Though it doesn’t look like his colour to me.

  • TAFKABO

Aye, and in his first act as Pope he’d probably excommunicate all the catholics.

reminds of the time he was a guest on late night radio One back in the eighties, the Nicky Cambell show.
Nick Campbell asked him Mr Paisley, if you had been born a Catholic, would you like to have become the Pope?
Without missing a beat big Ian answered If I had been born a Catholic, I’d like to have become (and here he pauses for dramatic effect) a Protestant.

I hope the Big Guy isn’t shown this.
He’d probably have a heart attack and miss out on the 1700 quid bounty.

    LOL (:

I think the other picture in the set is fabulous, painting the kerbstones!

  • Conor Gillespie

Does this mean he’ll have to denounce himself everytime he shows up to the EU?

  • Comrade Stalin

    TAFKABO:

You’ve got to hand it to Paisley – he does have a sense of humour.

    Conor Gillespie,

Does this mean he’ll have to denounce himself everytime he shows up to the EU?

News must travel slow on its way to California. Paisley has not been an MEP for two years – he didn’t stand in the 2004 election.

  • Mick Fealty

CS, it’s all in the timing! 😉

  • Hmm… Mick that almost looks like you’re taking CS’s compliment personally… oh my god I’ve cracked your secret, sorry for treading all over your recently signed up to online integrity charter but I’ve got to reveal your personal information…

    Mick Fealty = Ian Paisley!!!!

  • Rory

And how do we address the new pontiff? Pope Malefax I, I should imagine.

  • Mick Fealty

Speaking as comedy critic only. You can check it out with the big man yourself. I know he knows he’s definately not me!!

Naaah, I don’t see that happening. If Ian Paisley had been born and raised a Catholic he probably would have become(and here he pauses for dramatic effect) the grand Inquisitor for the Spanish Inquisition! (:

  • Skye dweller

Yes!! this picture just made my day! (:

  • Conor Gillespie

    Stephen,
“Paisley has not been an MEP for two years – he didn’t stand in the 2004 election.”

I’m well aware of that, but the image of a schizoid Ian showing up to the EU to denounce himself is just too funny to resist. (:

  • skinbop

either way, perhaps big ian deserves to be beatified after he is gone.

  • Conor Gillespie

Perhaps that’ll be his next goal after first minister for Northern Ireland! (:
