Dublin, 17th March, too cold for me…

The photographer complains of lack of political balance here. Hmmm… That’s not all that’s lacking!! If you want to spend the next few hours on the subject of Paddy’s Day, just check out Red Mum‘s Paddy’s Day Pool.

    Red white and BLUE?

Major changes to the rural planning and what do we get? A day of clowns, green rivers and talk about Irish Pubs. Coincidence or a good time to bury planning by ministerial whim?

I thought the funniest St. Patrick’s Day story was the one about the Homeland Security people detaining Gerry Adams because he was on some or other list of terrorists. Bin Laden, shaved and with a bit of nip-and-tuck done to his face, probably gets past them every day of the week as he goes about his business in the USA. On the other hand, Gerry Adams does consort with known terrorists on a regular basis. After all, he’d just come from a White House party hosted by one of the biggest terrorists on the planet …

Have you seen the news about how Gerry Adams spent a part of St. Patrick’s day? I expect it willmake a separate thread later but meanwhile I wonder how thorough the search was – body cavities perhaps! Seems to to indicate what the current US administration thinks of him. O it makes you (delete as appropriate) laugh/proud to be Irish.

It just struck me that the timing was not accidental.
