Battle of the Celts: Any Predictions?

Ireland take on the mighty Scots today at Lansdowne Road in what will be the last ever Six Nations game scheduled for the historic old stadium. Both teams enter in confident form: the Scots as conquerors of England and France; Ireland boosted by the convincing win over Wales.
Victory for Ireland would set up a Triple Crown finale next weekend against England, and even the possibility of that final game determining the Six Nations Championship. But, firstly, there is the small matter of the Scots to attend to..

Ireland are going to beat Scotland by at least 10 at odds of 10/11.

Ireland are a great lay on Betfair at 1.32, in that they will play to type and start slow. The Scots can exploit this early doors and put them under pressure. I would then see Ireland coming back in to it towards half time, when you should be able to back them at around the 1.68/1,74 mark – locking in a nice profit.

The Scots will beat the Irish, if they don’t it will be because the irish carried on playing at half time. Come on the Scots.

I’ve been overly pessimistic last time out. O’Sullivan’s need to stand up and be counted from the start this time – and show they have as much guts as the Scots, and do justice to their emense skill with the ball right though the park!

Well done the Irish team a well deserved win.

Looks like we’re stuck with Eddie O until after the World Cup.

After the weekend’s games, Pat McLarnon’s Triple Crown bet is looking smarter and smarter. England were absolutely hopeless yesterday. I’m hoping this provokes a demoralised-fall-apart type reaction from them on Saturday, rather than a kick-up-the-fundament one.

    Allez les verts!
