Probably most appropriately in a time when few believe the Assembly will be back up and running within a year, this piece provides a compendium of articles on the cost of devolution outside the archive. The cost for the Assembly free year of 2003-4 were £9.2, compares with “2001/02, when the Assembly was fully functioning, the salaries and expenses paid to members came to £10.1m”.
