Middle ground SF cannot retain IRA

Excellent post election analysis from Anthony McIntyre. Not least for its explanation of the crucial role of the middle ground in keeping matters stable both during and after the ‘Troubles’. He goes on to argue that if Sinn Fein is now on the middle ground previous held for wider society (almost) exclusively by the SDLP, Alliance and Ulster Unionists, then it is incompatible with the continuance of the IRA.
