Radio in the iPod age

Podcasting is something I know techically little of, but for the first time I’ve been considering buying an MP3 player. The possibility of listening to Morning Ireland/Talkback/Hearts and Minds whilst out walking the dogs really appeals. And for us here at Slugger, as reader Two Nations has pointed out, we could have another medium to play with. If you are in and around Dublin, this debate looks worth catching up with:

Come to The Great Radio Debate – bring all your friends!

Radio in the iPOD Age. Saturday 23rd April. Davenport Hotel. 3pm

The line up:

Willie O Reilly Chief executive Today fm
Kieran Mc Geary Chief Executive Beat 102 103
Fiona Stack Editor Newstalk 106
Celene Craig Deputy CEO and Secretary BCI
Andrea Martin Media Lawyer

A slightly inhuman presence that bans bad comments and works late at night to remove the wrinkles in Slugger’s technical carpet. You will need to know about the comments policy to stay off the fightin’ side of me and there is a bit of background about me here. You can email me using this spam-proof link if you really need to, and Slugger is @sluggerotoole on Twitter. But above all, remember, Play the ball and not the man.
