What have the Brits ever done for us (the cartoon)!

Following on from British and Irish Lives Entwined a week or so back, Langerland have released this excellent cartoon. Our readers may have been at least part of the inspiration! It’s already doing the blog rounds! Pass it on!!

  • Davros

Very funny, even without sound, except I thought it was unacceptably vulgar over Wilde.

  • Colm

Ah come on Davros at least Oscar and ‘mate’ weren’t shown naked – ugh!

  • Dualta

    Jaysis Davros,
Sure thay wur owenly havin’ an aul roide!

  • SeamusG

Brilliant! And I’m taking the credit for No. 5.

  • Gonzo

Perhaps they were a little hard on Oscar.

  • smcgiff

‘Perhaps they were a little hard on Oscar.’

I thought Oscar was a little hard on boysey (sp)!

    Oh, behave!!

  • Jacko

Brilliant. Best laugh I’ve had since Joe Hendron, no relation to Oscar you understand, stuffed Gerry Adams in West Belfast.

  • Mick

    Behave yourself, indeed!

  • spirit-level

    Good laugh!
humour can be quite healing too

  • smcgiff

    ‘Behave yourself, indeed!’

If I could edit my comments I just might!

  • Young Irelander

Very funny! I loved the one about Kevin Myers!

  • Stalford

“Much worse than the lesser known garlic cheese and chips famine….” Hilarious!

The Kevin Myers bit was great also!

  • Friendly Fire

These guys at Langerland are brilliant; when is the next installment?

  • Young Irelander

What’s the name of that song that plays when they comment on the Irish football team? It has escaped me.

    Fantastic!! Best laugh in ages!

  • PaddyCanuck

    Hillarious!

Davros, I see you are a prude as well as a pedant!

  • Harboy

    Oscar’s “mate” is W B Yeats, isn’t it?

Well, would’ve taken his mind off Maud Gonne for a while, I imagine.

  • Davros

I know that to right wing Americans such as yourself
Gays are fair game PaddyCanuck, but I’d hope that Irish people would be better.

  • Chris Gaskin

It’s only black humour Davros and it is something all of us on this Island tend to enjoy.

    Fantastic, I love langerland

  • Ben
