Recreational rioting organised on web…

CHILDREN in Belfast are organising riots in internet chat rooms, according to the News Letter. The PSNI said they were monitoring several sites.

Now that is disruptive politics – though not as we know it!

Meet yous down at the Short Strand in an hour with a trolley full of half-bricks, wha?

The people who attacked the Ardoyne shops from the direction of Twadell Ave (all in view of the new security camera) on Tuesday night were not kids.

I spoke to a youth worker in west Belfast today who said that kids also have the mobile phone numbers of their ‘counterparts’ and are very civilised in arranging these activities.

Reminds me of how football hooligans used to operate. In the end that problem was tackled by undercover cops infiltrating most of the big ‘firms’ and working on inside information. I’m not sure how young you can join the PSNI, but maybe they could send some of their fresher faced officers undercover?

“I’m not sure how young you can join the PSNI, but maybe they could send some of their fresher faced officers undercover?”

It worked on 21 jump street. Is Johnny Depp availible?

Seriously though, the cops here have done that in high schools with drug problems, so it is possible. Depends on how old the kids are, though. A young looking 21 or 22 year old officer might be able to pass for 17. Passing for 14 is alot harder.
