Yellow Card!

CG Moron, also posting under another name. There is nothing wrong with giving rivals from other parties a hard time over reported misdemenours, but if you choose to continue the entirely personal attacks against other contributors on Slugger, you’ll find a red card to follow this yellow in fairly short order – under both your names!

Have I missed something? Who? What? Where? and When?

Surely as a SF/IRA supporter, the man is only following his leaders in having a split personality?

  • slackjaw

While I can understand one’s reasons for posting pseudonymously, or even adopting a particular persona for posting, I cannot fathom why a reasonable individual would choose to post under more than one name at the same site at the same time.

It indicates either having no real opinions of one’s own, or a profound personality crisis, where perhaps the respectable party political superego caves in to the raging id, or something like that.

Please note that my opinions on the matter are directed at cgmoron’s alter ego. As I do not know who this is, the man not ball rule cannot apply.

Erm, does the ‘rivals from other parties’ indicate that the individual in question aligns himself/herself with another political party?

He’s certainly not a SF supporter. I thought that much was obvious! 😉

Name and shame – give us all his other identity.

    He deserves it.

is it stalford or one of his buddies in queen’s dua?

  • El Matador

I actually found the whole escapade quite amusing (if somewhat cutting).

  • Mick Fealty

I’ve no idea who the guy is. One of the reasons I don’t ask for names from people directly, is so there is no danger of people being traced by me or others. I can however track multiple personalities like this and exclude on the yellow card/red card basis.

The individual concerned is welcome to keep posting, just so long as he stays away from taunting others who have the courage to comment in their own name!

I feel a sudden urge to use Movable Type…!

Well I haven’t looked yet, but I did re-read the offending thread linked to above.

I must say I didn’t find the “I know where you live”-style tactic particularly conducive to civilised debate either, IMHO.

I explained very clearly that that wasn’t a threat. As a law student it would be very stupid for me to make threats especially as everyone knows my identity.

As for civilised debate you need both

    1. Having a high state of culture and development both social and technological

    2. Marked by refinement in taste and manners

    Such was lacking last night

    What’s cgmoron’s other handle?

“I cannot fathom why a reasonable individual would choose to post under more than one name at the same site at the same time. “

Ego and the opportunity to mess with people’s heads.

There was a guy on (probably still is) who needed a microbus to take his personalities to sci reunions.
