Blair to meet Sinn Fein and DUP

Tony Blais is temporarily left as point man on the Heist crisis, the two Aherns being currently otherswise engaged in the far east. He’s to take time out of managing (or being managed by) his own domestic difficulties.

Surely the UK’s biggest ever bank robbery is part of the PM’s domestic difficulties. This contrasts to the role of the “two Aherns” who can sit back and be thankful that the blaggers in the next door state have no automatic pathway into government in theirs.

It is incredible that such a meeting could go ahead after the failure of trust exposed in the past week.

Have they no sympathy for Gordon Brown?

  • Belfast Gonzo

After everything that has happened, is Blair seriously going to continue with a non-inclusive process? Is he really that thick?

  • Pat Mc Larnon

Absolutely Gonzo, it is time to refloat the good ship Alliance.

“British Prime Minister Tony Blair is due to meet DUP leader Ian Paisley and Sinn Féin chairman Mitchel McLaughlin today to discuss the fall-out from last month’s £26.5m (€37.8m) bank heist in Belfast.”

At the same time ? Oh to be a fly on THAT wall 😉
